PRIVACY AND COOKIES POLICY OF THE SELICO.EU WEBSITE

  2. The Controller ensures the security of personal data by applying appropriate technical and organizational measures in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (GDPR).

2. PURPOSES, LEGAL BASES AND DATA RETENTION PERIODS

The Controller processes personal data for the following purposes:

  1. Order fulfillment and performance of the Sales Agreement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR):

    • Scope of data: first name, last name, email address, phone number, delivery address, invoice/Tax ID details.

    • Retention period: the time necessary to fulfill the order, followed by the limitation period for claims arising from the agreement.

  2. Fulfillment of legal and tax/accounting obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR):

    • Scope of data: data appearing on invoices and accounting documents.

    • Retention period: 5 years from the end of the calendar year in which the tax payment deadline occurred.

  3. Handling complaints and claims (Art. 6(1)(b), (c) and (f) GDPR – legitimate interest):

    • Scope of data: data contained in the complaint submission.

    • Retention period: the limitation period for claims (generally 3 to 6 years).

  4. Contact and handling inquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interest):

    • Scope of data: name, email, message content.

    • Retention period: the duration of the correspondence and 1 year after its conclusion.

  5. Analytics, statistics and marketing (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – consent / (f) GDPR – legitimate interest):

    • Scope of data: IP address, device information, cookies.

    • Retention period: until consent is withdrawn or an effective objection is filed.

3. RECIPIENTS OF PERSONAL DATA (PROCESSORS)

For the Store to function properly, the Controller uses the services of external entities, to whom personal data is disclosed only to the extent necessary to achieve a given purpose:

  1. Infrastructure and Hosting Provider (Data Center):

    • SLD Data Center / sldc.eu – an entity providing hosting and server maintenance services. Data is stored on servers physically located within the European Union.

  2. Payment Operator:

    • PayPro S.A. (Przelewy24), ul. Pastelowa 8, 60-198 Poznań, KRS: 0000347935 – for handling electronic and card payments.

  3. Logistics / Courier Company:

    • DHL Parcel Polska Sp. z o.o., ul. Osmańska 2, 02-823 Warszawa – for delivering the ordered Goods.

  4. Providers of Analytics and Marketing Tools:

    • Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Fonts)

    • Meta Platforms Ireland Limited / Meta Platforms Inc. (Meta Pixel / Facebook)

  5. Accounting office and providers of legal/accounting software – for fulfilling tax and accounting obligations.

4. CROSS-BORDER DATA TRANSFER OUTSIDE THE EEA (INCLUDING THE USA AND GOOGLE FONTS)

  1. The Controller uses tools from external providers based outside the European Economic Area (EEA), in particular in the United States (USA):

    • Google LLC (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Fonts)

    • Meta Platforms Inc. (Meta Pixel)

  2. The transfer of personal data to the USA takes place on the basis of a European Commission decision recognizing an adequate level of data protection under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF), or on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) approved by the European Commission pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR.

  3. Information about Google Fonts:

    • The selico.eu website uses Google Fonts provided by Google LLC. These fonts may be loaded directly from Google's servers.

    • When fonts are downloaded, your IP address and browser parameters are transmitted to Google LLC's servers in the USA. The legal basis for such a transfer is the Standard Contractual Clauses and Google's participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework program.

5. RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS

Every data subject has the following rights:

  1. Right of access to their personal data and to receive a copy of it (Art. 15 GDPR).

  2. Right to rectification (correction) of data (Art. 16 GDPR).

  3. Right to erasure of data ("right to be forgotten") – Art. 17 GDPR.

  4. Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR).

  5. Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).

  6. Right to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR).

  7. Right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal.

  8. Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa).

6. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

  1. The selico.eu website uses cookies, which are small text files stored on the User's end device.

  2. The website uses two basic types of cookies:

    • Necessary (Technical) Cookies: Enable the website to function properly, maintaining the session and shopping cart. Used on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

    • Analytical and Marketing Cookies (Optional): Used to analyze website traffic (Google Analytics) and run personalized advertising campaigns (Google Ads, Meta Pixel). Used only with the User's prior consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

7. VERIFICATION OF PRODUCT REVIEWS (OMNIBUS DIRECTIVE)

  1. The Seller ensures that product reviews published in the Store come exclusively from Customers who have actually purchased or used the given Product.

  2. Review verification consists of sending dedicated review links after an order has been fulfilled, or linking the account submitting the review to purchase history in the Store.

  3. The Seller does not post, nor commission anyone else to post, false reviews or recommendations.

8. CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

  1. The Controller reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy in the event of changes to the law or the implementation of new technologies on the Website.
